Unlike Spotify, the dance music streaming and download store Beatport doesn’t natively (as far as I know anyway) allow you to embed their playlists into WordPress or websites which is a bit of a disappointment, but here’s a picture of what kinda stuff I’m listening too (mainly Techno – Peak Time/Driving) at the moment using the DJ app.
Even though it’s a top 30 they’re not in any kind of preferential order. It would be nice if you had the option to drag and drop tracks** to re-order them and of course have the option to embed playlists (you can embed individual tracks by the way). I’m sure it’s some kind of rights issue, Spotify playlists only feature 30-second previews, if you go to any Beatport playlist on their website each track has 2-minute previews which obviously is much better than 30 seconds!
** Actually you CAN drag and drop the track order in your playlist when you’re logged into your Beatport DJ account or using the mobile app!
***PS. I was able to port the Beatport playlist over to Spotify using the playlist transfer app TuneMyMusic, though not every track was the full version, it’s ultimately better than Beatports two minute samples!
