99th Floor Elevators – Hooked (Bouncy Shakedown)
It’s the 30th anniversary of Hooked this year! It is quite incredible that people are still interested in the track after all these years! I dug out a vinyl rip of the very first original mix, that got the ball rolling, the Bouncy Shakedown mix, which first saw the light of day on Deltra distributions Triumph label. The track also got a leg-up from Tony De Vit on the Fantazia House Collection Vol 2, the triple-disc compilation on vinyl and CD, featuring a DJ mix each from Tony, Boy George and Jon of the Pleased Wimmin. This was the Elevator’s first album appearance.
