Tony De Vit ‘Don’t Ever Stop’ Documentary

Updated September 29th 2023

There’s a Tony de Vit documentary movie on the way to mark the 25th anniversary of the legendary DJ’s passing in July 1998. The feature-length film is premiering at the nationwide UK film festival Doc’n’Roll, which kicks off on October 26 and runs across nine cities.

It charts De Vit’s rise from playing at local pubs in Kidderminster as a 17-year-old to becoming one of the most respected DJs of his generation.

The movie is produced by Phill Smith and Stuart Pollitt of Restless Films, former BBC filmmakers behind documentaries on the Special Olympics, Tommy Fleetwood and Rob Burrow.

It’s not the only tribute to the Are You All Ready producer. BBC Radio One broadcast his Classic Essential Mix 25 years after Tony sadly passed away. And there are 10 new remixes of Tony’s tunes coming out via Tidy Trax. TDV25 – The Remixes features a stellar lineup of renowned producers in the Techno, House, Tech House, Trance, and Hard Dance genres, each delivering their unique interpretation of Tony de Vit’s iconic tracks.

The ten remixes are the result of collaboration with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Patrick Topping, Eats Everything, Nicole Moudaber, Alan Fitzpatrick, Hannah Laing, BK, Absolute, Mark Sherry, Airwolf Paradise, and Morgan Seatree.
